hi livejournal friends! i haven't been on in probably a month if not longer
here's an update on my life so far:
i've been working at exxon mobil for about 2 months now, for a subcontractor..it pays well so i'm not complaining
which means-i can buy all the damn shoes i want! ha
it's a good job, i like it. eventhough it's a refinery, it's actually kinda cool. my co-workers are crazy and we joke around and laugh for a good part of the day.
-i got a tattoo of a heart on my chest! it's cool, you'll like it. i'll put pics up sometime...
-my best friend and i are no longer bff's. we tried being more than friends...and.well actually we didn't even try, we just messed around and now he won't call back. boo hoo right? oh well
moving on...
Christmas was cool. i got to see one of my cousins that i hadn't seen in 6-8 years!
and well thats about it.
I'm off of work till the 2nd...so me and selena are trying to stay busy till then. so far we've done a lot of running around and have gone to the museums
i have lots of new years resolutions which i plan on keeping this time. haha
i'm ready for 2008!
built to spill is coming in march! and i really want to go to sxsw this time around. for the past two years i haven't been :[
i plan on buying a new lens for my camera and possibly a medium format. i can finally afford them! 
so thats really about it. nothing has changed from my boring un-eventful life.

my aunt (my mom's sis)  is doing good on her chemo treatments. she's a fighter
and now my g-ma from my dad's side has breast cancer too. it's tough, everyone around is getting sick :/

i need some more museum days lol

i finally got approved for u of h, and now i'm waiting for the dummies at cullen to cash my check, so i can finally say i'll be living at cullen oaks.

though i bet skateboarding in heels would be kinda hard hahaha, so a bike it is.
i graduated lee = associates of arts:imaging. i really dont know what its for, i guess its the equivalent of photography
i have the summer off.
i need a job, so i applied at the musuem of fine arts, maybe they'll hire me?
i have art history classes under my belt, and thats what they wanted, so hopefully :[
they probably have a ton of people who apply though.
anyways

i bought a giant encyclopedia of rock and roll, and a big book of world art, and some little book with 1,000 inspirational quotes for friends

i turned 21 a week and a half ago
i went to scout on my b-day
and this past weekend, we went to numbers, on friday. 80's night!!!
i liked it, totally not what i was expecting, but it deffineatly wasn't bad.
part of the fun was making fun of some of the kids there, but it was more like a "i'm slightly jealous they're doing that" making fun.

Did you know that travis was still around? I’m watching their new video right now, with a ben stiller cameo! Sweet. Better yet, did you know that stroke 9 was still around???? What the? Me either, but their stuff is still catchy as hell.

oh and did you know the smiths are up for a rock and roll hall of fame nomination next year?

anywho, I was kept busy all day by doing not a damn thing!
well I played halo for a bit. I was going to clean, but I have all week.

Actually starting tomorrow, I am going to start.
I’m gonna get all my stuff organized and hopefully it’ll stay like that for a few more months.
get it all ready to move out. ahhhhh. hopefully.

I think I am going to apply for some internships, which is very scary and maybe apply at a newspaper to get some experience on the whole printing/publishing thing.

Anyways, I doubt I’ll get accepted and I’m pretty crazy for even thinking about applying, since they’re far away, like new york and ohio. Haha. wtf? Ohio? Well, alternative press is located there. I’m just trying to look at all my options.
I could do photo-journalism, since, well I kicked ass at journalism in high school. Whats up district champ?
But what I mean is that I can write pretty good [or is it "well"? whatever]. I made an A- on a paper I wrote in an hour and a half for history. And since I really want to work at a magazine, interning there would obviously be the best bet. Lol. I may just wait one more year, since I’m still young and I need to save up some money, since they will be unpaid :[

coming up in april, I have this presidential honors ceremony to attend. Which is kinda cool. A little bumming, cause it’s the same time me and selena are supposed to be going down to the valley. I think I’ll have to go that Friday instead of going on a Wednesday, since the ceremony is on a Thursday.
However, I get to meet the deans, and they’ll be all dressed up in their gowns and I get to shake their hands.
It’s all supposedly a big deal, as told to me by the honors coordinator.
So, that should be interesting. And it’s for being the most outstanding student in photography. Oh snap!
I don’t want to brag, but you know that’s pretty cool.
and in may, I have a show. Or whatever you want to call it, somewhere in clear lake. I really need to ask him for more info.
 But its may 3^rd I believe, and I’ll have 3 photos in it, and my teacher will have one. (cause he’s lazy haha) but yea, that’s pretty cool too.
It’s all going to be digitally manipulated stuff. Well, that’s what I’m working on so far, so it better be. Lol.
so I need to get ready for that.
also, I need to send my application in (it’s actually completed! Lol), apply for housing, etc.etc.

basically, be involved in the whole concept. everything will be made by me in the photo
ahhhh. sounds ambitious, cause it's a lot of stuff. especially the dress
but maybe he'll give me extra points for the extra creativness. haha
